Welcome to the official website of the 2013 Horse of the North
Horse of the North was brought about by a group of local Charters Towers families who have a passion to bring an event to fruition that is for everyone! It has been our goal since inception to build an event that celebrates successes, but also encourages the beginnings - after all, we all have to start somewhere!
We rolled up our sleeves in 2007 and started the event with $250, being $50 startup capital from each family and thus our journey began! In 2013 our event will boast over $80,000 in cash and prizes and is now one of the most coveted Stockman's Challenge events to win on the Performance Horse Calendar. We hope you enjoy our event as much as we enjoy putting it on for you!

Challenge Buddy Morning

For those competitors that are apprehensive about competing we will be holding a Mentoring morning on Wedensday 29th May. Our professional riders have generously agreed to assist those of you that would like to take up the opportunity and receive some pointers. Its a chance to overcome some nerves, meet fellow competitors and get some valuable advice from seasoned competitors. If you are wanting to be involved please email Bron on admin@horseofthenorth.com
